Licensed Professional Counselor

Barbara Gaddy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and move toward healing, growth, and greater well-being. She is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP), and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S).
Barbara believes that life is a journey, not a destination. Along the way, people may experience challenges that feel overwhelming to face alone. Whether those challenges involve anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or behavioral concerns, Barbara provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, discover their strengths, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.
Throughout her career, Barbara has worked with individuals across the lifespan and tailors treatment to meet the unique needs of each client. She believes that healing occurs through connection, understanding, and a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust and respect.
Barbara has extensive experience providing substance abuse evaluations and treatment, including VASAP and DOT-related services. She is also qualified to provide evaluations and treatment related to sexual offenses, including treatment for individuals with sexually reactive or offending behaviors as well as support and treatment for victims and survivors of sexual abuse.
As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Barbara works with children using developmentally appropriate, play-based interventions that help them express emotions, process experiences, develop coping skills, and build resilience. She also works with adolescents, adults, and couples facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationships, trauma, and life stressors.
Clients often describe Barbara as warm, compassionate, and easy to talk to. She understands that seeking support can feel difficult and believes no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone.
